About this event
Description
Ages 18+In collaboration with Penn Medicine Princeton Health, we are pleased to offer this program. Designed by the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), the Pet First Aid course teaches participants how to give immediate care to an injured or suddenly ill pet until veterinary care is available. Basic emergency care, CPR, common illnesses and medical emergencies will be covered using pet manikins. This program will focus on first aid for dogs; however, first aid applications for most pets are similar. Participants will receive a course completion certificate.
Participants who are more than 15 minutes late for the class will need to reschedule for another CPR course held by Princeton Health. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
